Training Practice

Granville House has been a training practice for ST3's (GP Registrars)  for several years.  An ST3 is a fully qualified doctor who is undertaking a further period of training - 3 years to become a General Practitioner.

Each year a new ST3 starts work with us in August and stays with us for 12 months.

In August 2012 we will have Dr Matthew Glaves.

This year in addition to the ST3's we will also have two ST2's with us for a period of 6 months. From February 2013 - July 2013 we will have Dr Katie Mellor and Dr Mark Mellor.

Although they are fully qualified they are undergoing training and are monitored and supervised by their trainer - either Dr McAllister or Dr Brickwood.

For assessment purposes you may be asked if you would consent to your consultation being videoed. We will fully understand if you do not give your consent.

From time to time we may also have medical student attached to the practice and they will sit in on consultations - you will always be informed first and asked for your consent
