Community Midwives

The midwife is available for advice throughout the pregnancy and early post natal period - when she first sees you she will give you a contact telephone number . You should also be given a practice leaflet ‘Now You Are Pregnant’

Community Nurses

District Nurses - although based at the clinic on Railway Road we work closely with the district nurses to provide nursing care for patients requiring treatment at home. They also run a dressing clinic at Railway Road between 10.00 a.m. - 11.45 a.m. (you must telephone first to arrange an appointment)

Health Visitors

Health Visitors - based at the clinic on Railway Road we have two health vistors who serve the local community, they are available to discuss all aspects of child health & care

Attached Staff

Physiotherapist - employed by Chorley PCT, Sue Tobin holds twice weekly surgeries to provide physiotherapy services to our patients. For treatment that she cannot offer in-house she will refer the patient to the main department at Chorley Hospital

Graduate Mental Health Worker - Katherine Nut is employed by Chorley PCT but is based at the practice - GP’s will refer patients they feel will benefit from seeing her.

Phlebotomist - twice a week a phlebotomist will visit the surgery to take routine blood tests
