Non-urgent advice: Consultation Times

Doctors consult from
8:30am. – 11:30am
2:30pm. – 6:00pm

Nurses consult from
8:30am (9:00am some mornings) – 12:30pm
2:30pm – 5:00 or 6:00pm depending on the day.

Dr James Edwards

GP Partner

Dr Edwards started working in the practice as a long term locum in September 2004. He became a partner in May 2005.  Dr Edwards trains our GP Registrars.  

Dr Anne Brickwood

GP Partner

BSc (Hons) MBChB MFAEM MRCGP DFFP Manchester 2001
Dr Brickwood joined the practice in May 2008, she had previously been a GP Registrar with us. Dr Brickwood trains our GP Registrars.  

Dr Simon Robinson

GP Partner

Dr Robinson is a previous trainee from the practice and also previous salaried GP, he became a new partner at the practice in November 2020.  Dr McAllister’s patients were re-allocated to Dr Robinson who will now have overall responsibility for their care. Dr Robinson is responsible for our medical students. 

Dr Lucy Delaney

Salaried GP

Dr Delaney is a salaried GP currently and currently works at the practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Dr Karen Mackey

GP Registrar

Dr Mackey is a salaried GP and currently works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Nursing Team

The practice nurses run clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD and coronary heart disease, they also see patients for blood pressure checks, ECGs, phlebotomy (drawing blood), smears, new patient health checks, NHS/cardiovascular health risk assessments, dietary and lifestyle advise, dressings and wound care and  childhood immunisation.Sister Morris also see patients who require advice and vaccinations regarding travel.

Practice Manager

Saadia runs the business side of our GP Practice. Her role includes:-Ensuring the effective and efficient management of the practice.Providing day-to-day management of all staff within the Practice.
Developing and maintaining individual and team performance.
Ensuring the profitability and efficiency of the practice, in line with the NHS, the partners and legislative guidance.
Providing general guidance to the partners on any NHS developments and legislative changes, which may affect the general management of the practice.
Ensuring compliance with all current Health and Safety and Employment legislation

Jennifer Bowling

Operations Manager

Jennifer will provide operational support to the Practice Manager and the wider Granville House Medical Centre team including; GP’s, Nurses, Medical Secretaries and Admin/Reception team.

Specialist MSK Physiotherapist/Team lead 

Ana is a member of the Chorley Central Primary Care Network MSK team. As an experienced Specialist MSK Physiotherapist/Team lead who will provide specialist care for patients with musculoskeletal problems. Appointments are available via reception.

Jacon Harosh

Associate Psychological Practitioner (APP)

Jacon Harosh is our Associate Psychological Practitioner whose aim is to normalise mental health, reduce stigma and increase resiliency by
providing support and education about mental health and wellbeing. Appointments can be made via Reception.

Community Midwives

The midwife is available for advice throughout the pregnancy and early post natal period – when she first sees you she will give you a contact telephone number. You should also be given a practice leaflet ‘Now You Are Pregnant’.  The midwife holds an ante-natal clinic at the surgery every Thursday morning.

Mrs Naila Hamid

Pharmacist Team

Hadia is a member of the Chorley Central Primary Care Network Pharmacy Team. She works alongside the practice to ensure medicines are prescribed and managed effectively.
