Out of hours

If you have an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the Surgery re-opens, please dial NHS 111.  This call is free from both mobile and landline phones and is available 24/7, every day of the year.

The NHS 111 is the number to call when you need medical help fast, but it is not a life-threatening situation.  A trained adviser will ask you questions to find out what’s wrong, give medical advice and direct you to someone who can help you.  If the adviser thinks that your condition is more serious, they will direct you to the hospital or send an ambulance.

You should call 111 when:

  • you think you need to go to A&E or to another NHS urgent care service
  • your GP surgery is closed and you need healthcare advice
  • you don’t know who to call for medical help

The practice still remains your first point of contact for all routine requests during normal opening hours.
